Transformation Systems Mapping & Analysis WorkGroup Update

The Transformations Systems Mapping and Analysis Working Group (TSM&A WG) is well under way! With over 100 people representing 23 countries, we have created 10 workstreams within the working group on a variety of topics. Each Workstream feature Conveners and Fellows and several held their first convenings over the past few weeks: the Scorecards workstream (convenor Bill Baue) on June 23rd, the Integration workstream (convenor Suzanne Bowles) on June 24th, the Gulf of Maine workstream (convenor Glenn Page) on June 26th, and the Theory and Knowledge Base workstream (convenor Katharine McGowan) on June 30th.

The “LatinAfrica” South-South Exchanges workstream (convenor Tsitsi Maradze) will be holding their first convening on July 6th! These workstreams are currently brainstorming project ideas and working to ensure a transparent, inclusive, diverse and supportive environment for collaboration from the start. The Mapping Who’s Involved (convenor Scott David), Academic Pathways and Careers (convenor David Takahashi), Inner Dimensions (convenor Lee Eyre), Unifying Framework (convenor Jim Ritchie-Dunham), Mapping Toolkit (convenors Kirk Bergstorm and Gurpreet Singh) and Transformative Capacities for Navigating Crisis (convenor Per Olsson) workstreams will be holding their first convenings over the next few weeks. The amazing Fellows of all Workstreams are working hard on organizing and facilitating high quality collaboration!

As part of the launch, we have launched a new Slack workspace for the Working Group which is already a hub of collaboration and ideation. The Social Systems Map of the emerging field of transformations systems mapping, led by Christine Capra and Tim Hanson of Greater than the Sum and creators of SumApp, have created a process that is mapping working group members add their information and connections! The journey is only just beginning – so if you are interested in joining, please contact Glenn Page.
