  • Theory of Transformation Part 2: Case Example for Blue Marble Evaluation
Webinar

Presenter: Michael Quinn Patton and Jerry Hage

Summary: Jerald Hage, Professor Emeritus of Sociology at the University of Maryland has developed a theory of societal change that respects alterative pathways and distinct historical periods. The focus of his hypothesis is on the interface between organizations and institutions. The problem is to predict path dependencies in the organizational form as a consequence of the institutional context and moments of institutional change. Michael and Jerald discuss the connections between the Hage Hypothesis and Blue Marble Evaluation and how they inform our understanding of global systems transformation.
